Indoor Painting Procedures: Methodology to Paint Interior Part of Your Home Or Office

Indoor painting, the word that strikes in our mind when we think to make our house/office appealing. Indoor painting means interior painting that reflects the environment of your home, office, institute, company etc and makes your home/office attractive. During Interior painting, like painting your room or painting your office involves various Indoor painting procedures. Following are the indoor painting procedures that should be kept in mind when we paint our room or office.

1.      Get in advance the proper tools and other materials:  When you decide to paint your room/office then firstly get in advance all the tools and other materials that you require during Indoor painting. Also be careful while selecting a paint brush, it should work smoothly and properly.

2.       Get all the things out of your house: During indoor painting, you have to get all the movable things out of the house and cover the other things that are not movable with a cloth.

3.       Remove Hardware:  Remove all the things like doorknobs, handles, electrical switch etc that does not need painting.

4.        Prepare a good surface for painting: The next step is to prepare a good surface for painting. An indoor painting mainly depends upon good surface preparation. Firstly, remove all the loose paint over the walls and then fill all the uneven surface with white cement in order to  make the surface quality smooth for painting.

5.       Make the room Clean and dust free:  Now clean the room and make it dust free so that dust doesn’t stick to the wet painted walls.

6.       Make a proper plan which color to paint: Mostly people have confusion about the painting color so choose the paint color carefully according to the environment that suits your room or office and can give a unique look to your home/office. So for selecting the proper paint color, have  discussion with someone professional and then make a proper plan that which painting color will be more suitable for your home/office.

7.       Read Instructions on the painting color box: The next step includes reading the instruction on the paint color box like how much time will the paint take to dry as this will help you in scheduling you painting job. 

8.       Apply masking tape: Before painting, apply masking tape on the edges of the area that do not need painting like windows, ceiling etc.

9.       Painting: Now you can paint the walls of your home/office with a beautiful color in order to make it attractive.  Apply painting coats as much as you can in order to make the surface look nice. Higher quality paints though expensive requires few layers of coating as compared to low quality paint. So always prefer to choose high quality paint as it won’t need repainting of the home/office for longer run.

10.   Remove masking tape when finished: When you finished with your painting job then remove the masking tape.
